Medicine cake
Washington University School of Medicine is one of the top biomedical research institutions in the United States. According to U.S. News and World Report the school is currently ranked 6th for research.
Medical classes were first held at Washington University in 1891 after the St. Louis Medical College decided to affiliate with the University, establishing a Medical Department. Robert S. Brookings, a University benefactor devoted much of his work and philanthropy to Washington University.
The first female faculty member was biochemist and physiologist Ethel Ronzoni Bishop.
During the 1940's, two Nobel Prizes were awarded, in 1944 and 1947 to groups of faculty members of the Medical School.

Ruth Porter Park
Ruth Porter was the first director of Freedom of Residence, a fair housing organization in St. Louis.
St. Vincent Greenway Inc. is a committed to partnering with community members in its efforts to transform the communities along the greenway through membership committees. The entrepreneurship committee works to support job development in low-income communities along St. Vincent Greenway. The service committee facilitates activities along the St. Vincent Greenway trail to encourage residents to achieve ownership over the trail and the surrounding community.
Current activities include guided bike/walk tours, community gardening, and community clean-up days.

Musical cake
Meet me at the Muny, the Muny of Forest Park.
The location site of the Muny started as a grassy area between two oak trees that hosted a theatrical staging of the Pageants and Masques. They ways about the beginning of St. Louis.
The Muny is short for The Municipal Theatre Association of St. Louis, is an outdoor musical amphitheater, located in Forest Park. The theater seats 11,000 people with approximately 1,500 free seats in the last nine rows that are available on a first come, first served basis. The first show under the Muny banner was Robin Hood, which opened on June 16, 1919, and featured Mayor Kiel as King Richard.
I have been to the Muny once back in the late 1990's. My sisters came out to St. Louis and we saw the B52s play there.

Cake on the go
In 1849 Concordia Seminary, founded in Perry County, Missouri in 1839, moved to St. Louis. It was located on South Jefferson Avenue near Winnebago Street. The campus moved to Clayton, Missouri, in 1926.
It is the second oldest Lutheran seminary and one of the largest Seminaries in the United States.

Flower cake
The Art Deco building, with 50 feet tall vertical glass walls in Forest Park, is the Jewel Box. It too has recently been restored and features tropical trees, foliage plants, flowers, and water fountain.
Surrounded by rose gardens, lily ponds and towering trees, the Jewel Box is the perfect venue for wedding receptions and rehearsal dinners.

Skating cake
Steinberg Skating Rink Ice Skating Rink was founded in 1957, Steinberg Skating Rink of St. Louis, MO is an outdoor rink and open seasonally from November 15th to March 1st. The woods of Forest Park surround one side and the Central West End skyline on the other.
Renovations in the area replaced a parking lot with a wetlands river area with a walking path and bird watching area near the lake.
There are all year events at the rink. During the summer the rink is transformed into sand volleyball courts with an outdoor cafe and bar.
