Incorporated in 1892, Jefferson Bank, one of the oldest neighborhood banks in the city of St. Louis, was originally located at the northeast corner of Jefferson and Franklin avenues.
The Jefferson Bank and Trust was the scene of one of St. Louis' biggest civil rights demonstrations. When I took this picture the October Ferguson demonstration was in full swing down the street. History repeats itself.
